About Oak Hill Inn

Oak Hill Inn was acquired by husband and wife team Mike and Laura Charlonne in January of 2021 from Laura's aunt and uncle Bill and Magda Beckman. Laura grew up in Julian. In fact her mom and dad Phillip and Joni Beckman built the house next door, the home Laura grew up in! Mike and Laura were even married in Julian in 1999. Mike was born and raised in San Diego and used to visit Julian often when he was younger. Mike and Laura live on the property with their two younger daughters Olive and Ivy. Their oldest Daughter Sabrena, her husband Ethan and their grandson Kale also recently moved to Julian. The duo is finally living their dream of owning and operating a charming little Inn in the town they adore! Laura's attention to detail and hospitality shine brightly here at Oak Hill Inn.

Oak Hill Inn was established in 1987 by husband and wife team. Bill, a retired engineer, and his wife Magda decided to escape the busy city life in favor of a more relaxed, yet adventurous lifestyle. The small, friendly town of Julian, California located in the beautiful San Diego mountains was the perfect place to make a new home for them and their three children. Over seven years, Bill built the house and inn with his own two hands. Then, with a passion for hospitality and a love for the town they live in, Bill and Magda established Oak Hill Inn.
